Lisa MacDonald

Lisa has over twenty five years of dance experience with a range of styles including Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Modern Theatre, Latin, Pilates, Canadian Step Dance, and Social Dance.  Lisa holds teaching diplomas with The Imperical Society of Teachers of Dancing in Cecchetti Ballet (Associate Diploma), Modern Theatre, and also holds an Intermediate Tap Certificate. Lisa is currently the Atlantic representative of the Cecchetti Sociey of Canada.

As owner & director of The Dance Academy Inc., Lisa continues to strengthen the solid reputation she has built among parents and students while sharing her knowledge and passion for dance with her students.

Ashley Knee

Ashley began her career in dance at the early age of two. Over the past twenty three years she has been exposed to, and has taught, a range of styles including Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre, Latin, and Social Dance. In addition, Ashley has experience working with children with limited and restricted mobility while teaching at The Children’s Rehabilitation Center in the Janeway Children’s hospital. 

Ashley is an Associate member of The Imperical Society of Teachers of Dancing (Modern Theatre). A recent graduate from Memorial University, Ashley received a degree in Primary and Elementary Education in December of 2008 and is currently working towards her degree in Special Education. As owner and director of The Dance Academy Inc. she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience regarding the educating of dance to students of varying ages and abilities.
